Meet The Team

Pastor James met Paula in Conway, Arkansas while serving in the United States Air Force. They have three boys, Lael, Caleb and Micah. It is in the Spicer's heart to have a church where God is truly at the center. Too many churches today have gotten lost in programs and have forgotten that we go to church to meet Him. Pastor James has a huge heart for missions, and believes that the life of the church is in the next generation. SCC is a place where all are welcome. No matter where you are at in life, there is a place for you here.

Rikki was born and raised in East TN, to God-fearing parents, Rick and Pam Small, who were intentional in training and instruction of the Lord. She was saved and baptized as a child at Fellowship Baptist Church. Rikki completed her high school education at Sevier Co. High School and attended the University of Tennessee, attaining a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Soon after completing post-secondary education, Rikki started a 19 year career as a social worker for the TN Department of Children's services, working with both dependent and neglected youth as well as teens involved in the juvenile justice system. She now spends her days as a stay at home wife/mother and educator to her two young daughters, Remy and Wren. Rikki and her husband Walter were led to Sevierville Christian Center in appx. 2016, drawn by consistent teachings of scripture-based truth. She and her husband have been blessed to serve in various capacities over the previous years, including security, worship, and youth discipleship. Rikki is grateful to be a part of the lives of SCC youth, with the hopes of planting seed and helping to equip them for every good work. Outside of church duties, Rikki is actíve in the local community, serving as the Vice President for the local chapter of the TN Right to Life. In addition, she and her family participate in homeschool co-ops and related community service projects and outreach. Rikki enjoys physical fitness, cooking, and hiking in God's beautiful creation.

Meet Johnny and Karen Gautreaux, a remarkable couple who have celebrated over 30 wonderful years of marriage. Originally from Louisiana they made Sevierville their home in 1996, where their daughter Stormee was born. Since relocating to East Tennessee, they have been active members of Sevierville Christian Center, dedicating over 20 years to children's and youth ministry. Karen recently retired after 42 years as a nurse, while Johnny continues to serve the community with an independent utility company, Together, they cherish their time camping and traveling, creating lasting memories along the way.

Danny and Lynn are our warm and welcoming head greeters at the church, dedicated to ensuring everyone feels at home. With their friendly smiles and genuine compassion, they create a welcoming atmosphere for both new visitors and long-time members. Their commitment to fostering community shines through as they greet everyone with kindness and help guide them through our services and events. Whether it’s a heartfelt handshake or a friendly conversation, Danny and Lynn are the heart of our church’s enthusiasm.

Duane and Dianna are the dedicated leaders of Hospitality at our church, bringing warmth and a welcoming spirit to every gathering. Their passion for creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere ensures that everyone feels at home. With their exceptional organizational skills and genuine care for others, they play a vital role in fostering community connections and enriching our church experience.

Bryan is a dedicated Men's Ministry Leader and Sunday School Teacher with a passion for guiding believers in their spiritual journeys. With warm and approachable demeanor, he fosters a welcoming environment where the church feels encouraged to connect, grow, and support one another. Bryan's engaging teaching style and commitment to biblical principles inspire others to deepen their faith and develop strong, meaningful relationships within the community.

Joyce is a passionate leader of our ladies group, Crafting Sew Fun. Each meeting is filled with creativity and camaraderie as we come together to work on various craft projects. Joyce's enthusiasm inspires everyone to explore their artistic sides while sharing tips and techniques. Join us for a fun and fulfilling crafting experience!

Jeff serves as the head usher at our church, bringing warmth and dedication to his role. He ensures that every visitor feels welcomed and comfortable, guiding them with a friendly smile. His attention to and organizational skills help create a smooth and enjoyable experience during services. With a genuine passion for serving community, Jeff plays a vital role in fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all.

Stig is our dedicated biblical studies teacher at the church, bringing a wealth of knowledge and passion for scripture & worldview to each class. With a commitment to fostering a deep knowledge of biblical principles, he engages learners of all ages through thoughtful discussions and insights. Whether you’re new to the faith or looking to deepen your understanding, Stig’s approachable style makes exploring the Bible & Current Events both enriching and enjoyable.
